Virtual Kids Church - August 16, 2020

Welcome to Virtual Kids Church: August 16, 2020

In week three of August, the Elementary kids will we head to the Book of Esther. God’s people were in danger. Esther’s cousin, Mordecai, knew that she, as the new Queen of Persia, was the perfect person to help save them. They put their creativity into action to devise a plan to trap Haman and expose his plot to kill the Jews. Their plan succeeds and God’s people are saved!

Bottom Line: God created you for a purpose. Kids are just starting to figure out how they are wired, what they enjoy doing, and how God has uniquely gifted them. We pray that as kids discover more about how God created them, they would start to understand more about how they play a part in what God is doing in the world.

Elementary Message Summary:

  • Bible Story:  This Is Me (Esther) • Esther

  • Today’s Bottom Line: God created you for a purpose.

  • Monthly Memory Verse: Lord, you are great. You are really worthy of praise. No one can completely understand how great you are. Psalm 145:3 (NIrV)

  • Monthly Life App: Creativity—Imagining what you could do because you're made in God’s image

  • Basic Truth: I can trust God no matter what.

This week's lesson for the Pre-K kids focuses on how they are so important to God, that He sent Jesus.  They will also discover that God loves every person in the whole wide world.  Because of that, He sent His only Son, Jesus, to be everyone's friend forever. THAT is how important we are to God.
